IDMA provides high-quality college-level professional training in the digital media arts online – wherever, whenever and however it suits you.

Our mentorships, workshop certificates and professional diplomas are delivered in an easily affordable modular format. Diploma certificate modules can be spread out over time to fit professional, family and financial obligations. In many cases, individual workshop certificates can be collected to achieve an Associate Diploma. All of this happens online, at your convenience, with no need for expensive travel, accommodation and long term absences from family, friends and colleagues.

Unlike other online digital media education sites, which make extensive use of prerecorded video lectures, IDMA uses innovative collaborative 'live' presentation systems to preserve the value of instructor-led courses. This is particularly suited to the essential nature of the subject! As IDMA developed, our research showed that our instructor-led approach could be extended (by integrating new social learning tools) to serve current digital media professionals.

IDMA social learning network also delivers multiple learning experiences. Our four learning communities – NETWORKS, MENTORSHIPS, WORKSHOPS and THE INSTITUTE – represent a range of learning styles and settings from informal to formal.
