Bob Korn has been trusted by some of the world's finest artists to bring their work to life through the medium of print. His work has been shown throughout the world in museums such as The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Centre Pompidou, France, and the Albertina Museum, Vienna. Come learn from a true artistic master.
The focus of this mentorship will be on helping you, the photographer, further your understanding and abilities while developing a keen sense of refinement for the printed photograph. Once the tools needed for making prints are learned, you will move to understanding what makes and defines a fine print, including the effects different paper have on the final image. Learn how to use technology in a way that enhances the image on paper, not hides it.
Critiques will be an important part of the process for understanding color and developing your ability to see. You will learn to develop and rely on your eyes to guide you through the printmaking process. The goal is to teach you the craft of fine digital printmaking so you'll have the skills for producing museum quality prints.
Participants will be expected to send images both electronically as well as via snail mail as part of your personal critique and visual development.
