5:30-7:30 inside Hotel Commonwealth, across the street from the Citgo sign here in Boston.
Warhols, a larger-than-life Chuck Close, Vik Muniz, Gustav Hoiland (maybe not), and on and on and on…
This post will be nothing short of a full blown plug for Panopticon Gallery’s latest show entitled Instant Connections that focuses exclusively on Polaroid photography. Everything from those familiar consumer-grade handheld squares to 20×24″ behemoths cranked out of the world’s largest Polaroid came.
Special thanks to Jim Fitts, curator extraordinaire, adamant photography collector, and critiquer of les works des Hoiland (me), for which I am very thankful. Together with gallery owner Jason Landry, these two have already had a big impact on my approach to photography and will no doubt shape my artistic approach to it in the coming months as I continue to work with them.
Come say hi and grab some wine!
